July 15 – Position advertised and promoted by HYA

August 18 to September 12 – Online survey open for community and stakeholder input

Late August to early September – Focus groups and interviews conducted with key constituent groups

Week of October 22 – Board reviews applicants and selects semi-finalists

Week of November 3 – Board interviews semi-finalists and identifies finalists

Week of December 1 – Finalist interviews and superintendent selection

Week of December 8 – Contract negotiations

Week of December 15 – Targeted announcement of new superintendent

The WVHS Planetarium welcomes the community to public programs. Public programs are live, multimedia lecture-like presentations created to engage audiences with a range of astronomy knowledge. All public programs include looking at the planetarium's night sky, which is a memorable experience for every visitor.
