Exchange Day & Senior Seminars- January 19th

Reported by on 1/13/22.

On Wednesday, January 19th, freshmen through juniors will have the opportunity to explore a variety of courses in preparation for course registration for the 2022-2023 school year. During an afternoon pause in our standard schedule, students will attend sessions that provide an overview of various elective & core courses. The purpose of Exchange Day is to allow students to learn about the wide varieties of academic opportunities available at Waubonsie Valley and how those opportunities tie into individual college, career and personal goals. Students will be able to attend four 12-minute sessions during Exchange Day.

While underclassmen are exploring their course options for next school year, seniors will have the opportunity to attend sessions related to their post secondary education and finishing senior year. School counselors and social workers will lead discussions on: financial aid, college roommates, application workshops, mid-year admissions reports, important senior dates/events. Seniors will be able to attend two sessions during Exchange Day.

Students and families are encouraged to review the list of available Exchange Day sessions and make a plan to maximize the experience. Please visit for more information and the full list of Exchange Day sessions.
