2008-2009 Try-outs
Date: April 15th-18th 2008 Time:
3:30-5:30 pm
Location: Waubonsie Valley Green Campus Cafeteria
Tryouts will consist of learning two short routines and
demonstrating skills. One routine will be primarily Jazz, with
several technical elements. The other will be a Pom routine. Please
come
prepared with an optional skill to show the judges. Each participant
must wear clothing that is form fitting, preferably black dance
pants or shorts and a black top. Sports physical must be completed
prior to tryouts in order to participate.
Clinics will include stretching, learning the routines, practicing
the skills, and a mock try-out by graduating seniors.
Requirements:
Double turn, Toe Touch, Leaps, Splits and Calypso Jump. *An extra
skill is also required.
Please come prepared and try your hardest!
What to bring:
UPDATED PHYSICAL **** and Application (with parent signature)
Basic Info regarding judging Try outs (Friday April 18th): The girls
will be scored on a point
system and chosen based on highest scores. Teams can range from
12-22 girls including alternates. All results are final.
Basic team information: The Warriorettes will practice 3 days a week
(Mon, Wed and Thur) Practice schedules will be handed out at a later
date for summer and the school year.
Mandatory meeting Wednesday April 25th at 3:00 in the cafeteria for
Varsity--3:30 for JV
****All other information will be addressed at the try out clinics.
All skills for the try outs will be demonstrated.
All information regarding the actual try out date will be discussed
as well.
