2005The Varsity boys golf team finished 5-11 overall and 5-6 in conference play, tying for 4th at the UEC meet and finishing 7th in Regionals. They were 3rd out of 13 teams at the Redhawk invite and 6th out of 30 teams at the Batavia Invite. The JV team was 9-7 overall, 7-4 in conference play and finished 5th in the UEC Peter Tanaka shot a 68 -- the lowest 18-hole round in school history!
2004JV 6-4 in Conference, 8-8 overall, 5th place in Conference
With six freshmen, this year was our youngest JV team in many years. After a slow start, they really
improved, winning seven of their last eight matches to finish in fifth place at conference with a 6-4 record. However, Greg Roderique capped a brilliant high school career by qualifying for the state tournament individually and finished a phenomenal 36th out of 150 golfers. Coach Lange and Coach Owles would like to thank the entire golf team for another outstanding year.
2003It was a wild end to the season for the Boys Golf team. After a disappointing 6th Place finish in Conference, the team regrouped and finished 3rd in Regionals to advance to Sectionals. In a downpour at Sectionals, they finished 3rd to qualify for the State meet where they finished in 7th place as a team. Greg Roderique led the team with an individual 20th Place finish at State.
2002The boys’ Varsity golf team started out the season well with a win over Neuqua Valley at the Naperville Quad and 2nd place at the Aurora City Invite. With a good work ethic and dedication throughout the season, the team finished on a positive note with a strong 5-5 record earning them a 4th place conference finish, and 7th in the Regional. The Varsity finished the season at 9-9 overall. Congratulations to the team for a great year and special recognition goes to team MVP Bill C. and All-Conference picks Zach M. and Greg R. The JV team had an excellent season, finishing in the Top 10 at the Lockport Invite, taking 2nd at the Aurora City Invite, 2nd in the Upstate Eight Conference and beating 14 other teams to take 1st place at the Wheaton Warrenville South Invite. The golfers finished their season 8-2 in the conference and 13-5 overall. Great job JV! All Levels Results
2001Even though the record of the boys varsity golf team doesn't show how hard and competitive the team was this year, the coaches are extremely proud of the team. By the end of the year, they proved to be extremely dedicated and driven to become the best players they could be. The varsity ended their season at 4-6 in the conference and 6-12 overall earning 8th place in Conference. Their leadership, hard work and compassion for the game was also great role-modeling for the JV golf team, who ended the year with an awesome 13-5 record overall and an 8-2 Conference record, earning them 3rd place in the conference. The varsity team finished with a 6th place Regional finish. We're looking forward to combining the experience and leadership of the varsity team with the up and coming talent of the JV team. Thanks for the great year!
