Online Gradebook: Parent/Student Viewer Instructions

WVHS teachers use an online grading program called “Pinnacle”. One benefit to this program is the ability for parents and students to view their grades and assignments at any time from the Internet. Any changes made in the gradebook are immediately reflected in the parent/student viewer. Every effort is made by teachers to record grades in a timely fashion but be aware there may extenuating circumstances that, at times, may delay grade postings. Please be aware that this is NOT an official report card.

Please read the directions to insure proper access and understanding
of the gradebook viewer. Click here for the instructions document.

You will need the student's ID # and password in order to access the site. Passwords are changed each year (over the summer) and students are not able to change them. Parents: for security reasons, please obtain your students' passwords from them. If they claim that they do not know/lost/forgot the password, they can go to the LMC, show their ID and obtain it. It is vital that passwords be kept confidential.

The site to view grades is https://gradebook.ipsd.org/

You should then click on the “Parents & Students Pinnacle Internet Viewer”
on the left side. This takes you to the login screen.

Student ID must be a 12 digit # with zeroes in front of the ID #.
Examples: if the ID # is 12345, you would enter 000000012345 (seven zeroes).
If the ID # is 1023456, you enter 000001023456 (five zeroes).

Password  is the student's six-digit computer login password (all lowercase).

School: Select "Waubonsie Valley High School" from the pull down box.

Then click “login”.

On the next screen (it may take a few seconds) a grade summary by class will appear.
If entry is not allowed, please double check that you have entered the full correct 12-digit ID and the the password is correct (six digits and lowercase).
Then you can drill down to individual classes and assignments.

On the upper left, you can select a class.

In the middle left, the most useful pull down is either “student assignments” or  “category progress summary”.

On the lower left, you can choose the Grading period.

Once you’ve made those choices, click on “Get Report” to view your selection.

****Further down on the left is an option for you to sign up for an automatic email notification if a grade drops below or rises above your desired % or to simply receive regular updates. You can also receive regular updates on grades. (A suggested frequency is once a week.)****
