Varsity: 1-5
in Conference, 8-10 Overall, 3rd Place in Conference
JV: 0-6
in Conference, 5-11 Overall, 4th Place in Conference
We had an up and down year, finishing the year 8-10. Being one of
the smaller teams in the DVC we have to rely on hard work and being the scrappy
team. We are graduating only 6 players, and should have 30 returning players
plus a new incoming freshmen class. We have a bright future with this group,
and we can't thank the seniors enough for all their hard work. Attackmen Nick
Asuan set a Valley lacrosse points record with 287 career points over his 4
years as a varsity lacrosse player.
Varsity: 1-4 in Conference, 7-12 Overall
JV: 2-2 in Conference, 7-8 Overall
In our first season as a part of the IHSA the varsity team finished 7-12. The biggest win of the year came in the Regional Final, where we beat St. Francis 11-10. We started our season very strong, taking second place in the North/ South Tournament which is the first top 3 finish since 2012. Our number were low this year and we unfortunately got hit with the injury bug half way through the season. We fought hard and lost many close games, including a 10-9 loss in overtime to Wheaton North when we erased a 3-goal deficit in the 4th quarter. We are only graduating 5 and looking forward to a strong incoming freshman class.
