The WVHS Booster Club is a non-profit group formed to boost, support, encourage, and aid Illinois High School Association (IHSA) student organizations at Waubonsie Valley High School.

All of the funds raised from membership fees and fundraisers go directly back to Waubonsie Valley High School sport teams, clubs or overall school projects.

"If you can imagine it, you can create it.
If you can dream it, you can become it."

Meetings
The Booster Club holds monthly meetings, usually on the third Monday of the month in Room 111. (Refer to Documents for exact meeting dates and location information). Meetings are open to everyone and we encourage you to attend. We are always looking for suggestions and volunteers to serve on committees or help in any way. Attend a meeting or e-mail a Booster Club board member for more information. (Refer to Documents for contact details.)

Informational Sessions
The Booster Club sponsors informational sessions on an as needed basis to discuss concerns about WV athletics or to present questions to the Athletic Director. Since these sessions are held only on demand, any parent with questions, comments or concerns is welcome to register for a session. They are held at 6:30 before any monthly Booster Club meeting. Registration is required to attend and these sessions are limited to 10 people. To reserve a spot for the informational session, e-mail or phone the athletic secretary (Refer to Documents for contact details).

Activities and Events (Volunteer… Get in the Game!)
As a volunteer organization, the Booster Club cannot succeed without your help. Please consider volunteering! It's a great way to meet other parents, support our students and WVHS. Your son or daughter does not have to be involved in athletics for you to get involved, we welcome all the help we can get. Grandparents are welcome too! Complete the Volunteer section on the membership form with your volunteer preferences - your help is needed even if you have just a few hours. Some of the volunteer opportunities available include:
•  Concessions The Booster Club handles the concessions at various athletic
events. Volunteers help set up and run stands, grill/serve food, clean
up/close at athletic events when concessions are provided.
•  Warrior Wear Volunteers sell warrior wear at athletic events, the indoor
Warrior Wearhouse, the annual pig roast, and other special occasions.
•  50/50 Raffle Volunteers sell raffle tickets to spectators at sporting events
(usually home football games) where the winner of the raffle wins ½ of the
   money collected.
•  Golf Outing The Booster Club sponsors an annual golf outing as our only
major fundraiser of the year. This popular event sells out quickly so watch
for details in the weekly emailed announcements and refer to this web page
for the latest news and updates. We're always in need of hole sponsors,
prize donations and auction items so please contact the golf outing
chairperson or a Booster Club board member if you can help. (Refer to the
   Documents Tab for contact information)
•  (NEW!) Team Spirit Liaison Contact this chairperson with ideas for
integrating specific team spirit and student involvement. Refer to contacts
   for current chairperson.
•  Kickoff Classic Pig Roast The Warrior Kickoff Classic pig roast is a fun event
that wraps up the pre-season camps at Waubonsie. Come watch the athletic
teams scrimmage and see the cheerleaders, poms, and marching band
perform. Forget cooking for the evening and come enjoy the food and
activities! Students receive handouts for this event when practice begins in
August and document postings are also available on this site.

The Booster Club offers a variety of Warrior Wear items for sale each year, including sweatshirts, T-shirts, and polos. We also offer yard signs, decals, special novelties, blankets, stadium seats and many more items! Warrior Wear is sold at many events throughout the year, including the Pig Roast, home football games (inside home concession stand), curriculum night, freshman orientation, and on scheduled days during the school year during lunch periods. Watch the WV Announcements and document postings on this site for sale dates and locations. See link above for ordering yard signs/sports decals.

Membership & Game Passes
Joining the Booster Club has many benefits. It provides a way for you to get involved with your student’s school and also provides financial support for WV athletics, clubs and activities. While participation fees collected from students to participate in a sport or club go to the School District, Booster Club membership fees directly support WV programs. Funding requests are presented to the Booster Club board throughout the year for approval and voted on at the monthly meetings throughout the year. Items purchased in years past include improvements to the football concession stands, baseball field training equipment and irrigation system, the inflatable Warrior headdress and tunnel, numerous team warm-ups, and donations to various club fundraisers. The Booster Club also issues three $1000 scholarships each year. All of these allocations allow WVHS athletic programs and clubs to maintain a high standard. The Booster Club donated over $54,000 in allocations during the 2010-2011 school year.

As a Booster Club member, you also have the opportunity to purchase game admission passes each year. Membership and pass order forms are issued in the WV registration packet mailed home to each student in the summer. You can also download a form from this site. Contact the Booster Club Membership chairperson for details about membership or game passes. (Refer to Documents for contact details.)
