Hybrid In-Person Information
Our plans for November that were presented at the BOE meeting in regard to In-Person Learning will still take place as designed. We are, though, examining ways to accelerate our plans so that students will be in school more often than one day a week starting in December. A committee composed of parents, teachers, students, and district administrators will collaborate on the review and selection of the new schedule. Local data, and metrics provided by the DuPage County Health Department will be considered, as well. The proposal will feature increased in-person instruction throughout the remainder of the first semester, on Tuesdays-Fridays. The final schedule selected by the committee will be shared in the near future.
It will be important for you to complete the district survey (found at this link) requesting participation in the hybrid model by noon on Monday, October 12, 2020. Your selections, as HS parents, can be changed after we present our plans later this month so that you have the option to continue with remote learning or move to in-person after the plans are revealed. We will provide another opportunity to make a selection for second semester.
