Seal of Biliteracy AAPPL Test for Seniors

The Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy in District #204 Application is due this Friday, October 9 for SENIORS ONLY:  WVHS Seniors can register to take all or part of the AAPPL Assessment (Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Thai) and the STAMP 4S Assessment (Hebrew and Polish ONLY) as proof of a second language proficiency on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 2:45 pm (registration deadline 10/09/20) at Neuqua Valley High School. The Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy recognizes high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, listening, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English. Students need to demonstrate proficiency in English and Intermediate-High proficiency in a second language, as determined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. Therefore, students must also provide proof of English proficiency through ACT, SAT, or AP English scores. The Seal is a statement of accomplishment for college admissions and future employers, is affixed to the diploma and designated on the transcript.
