The Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy in District #204 Application is due Friday, February 14

Do you want to be recognized for being proficient in one or more languages in addition to English? Indian Prairie School District 204 is offering the Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy to recognize high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, listening, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English. Students need to demonstrate proficiency in English and Intermediate-High proficiency in a second language, as determined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.

The Seal is a statement of accomplishment for college admissions and future employers, is affixed to the diploma and designated on the transcript. Applications for the Seal of Biliteracy can be found on the District 204 website: http://www.ipsd.org/Subpage.aspx/SealOfBiliteracy. WVHS will be offering the AAPPL Assessment (Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Thai) and the STAMP 4S Assessment (Hebrew and Polish ONLY) as proof of proficiency on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 8:00 am (registration deadline 2/14/20).
