Seniors, Have You Filed Your FAFSA Yet?

Reported by on 11/21/19

Have you completed the FAFSA for next school year? The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA is a great starting place in the financial aid process, in fact many colleges and scholarship organizations will use information from your FAFSA to determine other financial aid awards. By completing the FAFSA you are checking your eligibility for federal aid such as the Pell Grant or state aid such as the MAP Grant. The FAFSA can also qualify students and parents for several types of federal student loans.

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission has several resources that can help guide you through the FAFSA application. Visit their website for details on how to start the process

If you haven't submitted your FAFSA, be sure to start the process over the upcoming fall break.

More information on the financial aid process can be found in the attachment below.
