2020 AP Exam Registration Now Open
Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Waubonsie Valley High School desires that all students take AP exams for the AP classes that they have taken. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition or allowing students to place out of gen ed classes.
For the 2020 AP exams, students will need to follow a two-step registration process. This is a new process this year and is the result of changes instituted by the College Board, who oversees the AP program.
The first step of the process is to register with College Board using the "Join Code" provided to students by their AP teacher. Students will then need to update their exam status from 'Undecided' to 'Yes'. Once students have updated their exam status with College Board, a parent/guardian will need to submit payment through the PushCoin webstore (https://store.ipsd.org/ ). Please note that College Board does not accept payment directly from students, all payments must be made through the PushCoin webstore. AP Exams can be added to your cart and paid for individually.
During the month of October, counselors will be available in the College & Career Center during Tribe Time to assist students with their College Board accounts and managing “Join Codes”. Students who are not enrolled in an AP course, but who are self studying for an exam, should seek assistance from their counselor or visit the College & Career Center during Tribe Time.
Online Exam registration began on Monday, September 23rd and will be open until Friday, November 1st. Students registering in this window will be charged $98 per exam. There will be a late registration period starting November 2nd through March 1st. During this time there will be an additional late fee of $40 per exam. We will not accept payment at WV this year.
