The Chiefs Rugby teams are finishing up the final matches of regular season play in a strong way. The boys Varsity won their Senior Night match last Friday battling cold and windy conditions, again, and a unrelenting Taft HS team, 67-26. Leading the scoring with 4 tries was Carson O'Donnell (WV), 2 tries from Mitch Spears (OEHS), upon returning to the pitch after recovering from injury! Rounding out the remaining scoring are tries from Abram, Cole, and Avante from WV, Conor Mackay (MV), John Kean (OHS) and 5 conversion kicks Matthew Wagenknecht (WV). Match awards were Back of the Match to Conor (MV) and Nick Brazen (OHS), Forward of the Match to Scott Stavron (WV). The boys face Sycamore in their last regular season match.

The Boys Fresh/Soph team also battled the tough weather conditions and defeated Taft HS Tuesday night, 48-10. The leader in scoring was Justin Starks (WV) with a hat trick of tries and conversion kicks. Jacob Razo (WV) added two tries, Henry Smith, Logan Blair from OHS, and Aidan Bradshaw (OEHS) each scored a try, and conversion kicks by Logan and Nate Brazen (OHS). Forward of the Match awarded to George Alba (OEHS), Back of the Match Jacob Razzo, and Man of the Match Adrian Arnada (OHS). Chiefs F/S host the Neuqua Valley Wildcats Friday night 5/10 at 5:30 at Go For it Sports in Yorkville.
The Chiefs Girls Varsity team continued their winning streak with a shutout win against the South Suburban Cobras, 36-0. Tries were scored by Dani Zarkin (WV), Rachel Lechtenburg (MV), Genna Hankins (OEHS), Jackie Garro (DGN), and Sofia Moretti, 3 conversion kicks by Raegan Blair (OHS). Congratulations to the Chiefs girls varsity for their earned first round playoff match this Saturday in Chillicothe! Good luck Girls and to all of the Chiefs Rugby teams!
