The Clothesline Project

Reported by courtney_nowaczyk@ipsd.org on 4/3/19

On April 16th, Waubonsie Valley will be presenting "The Clothesline Project" in Room 111/113 during lunch periods. The Clothesline Project is a visual display that is a vehicle for survivors of violence to express their emotions by decorating a shirt. The shirts are hung on a clothesline to be viewed by others to increase awareness of the prevalence of sexual and domestic violence.

If you would like to create a shirt, there are labeled boxes in each alpha house where you can put your finished product. All of the shirts will be hung on the 16th as part of this year's project.

There are also t-shirts available for purchase to promote the event. If you are interested in purchasing a t-shirt, please contact Ms. Villalobos, Mrs. Woulfe, or Mrs. Nowaczyk to place your order. T-shirts are $10 and orders are due by 4/10.

The Clothesline Project is sponsored by the Rape Aggression Defense classes in the Physical Education Department.
